As part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of the publication of Maria Lamas' work, “The Women of My Country”, which is an impressive document of how Portuguese women lived and worked in the mid-20th century, the conference will seek to honour, through this work, the working women seen by Maria Lamas, in particular the textile workers of the Ave Basin.
