For three generations now, the Solé family has survived by growing peach trees in the small town of Alcarràs (Catalonia, Spain). Their lives, until then peaceful, change when they receive a notice from their landlord giving them until the end of the summer to leave the land. The landowner intends to uproot all the trees so that solar panels can be installed there. This news will shake all the members of the family who, despite being very united, have different ways of approaching the future or of finding new ways of supporting themselves. A drama about solidarity and family relations directed by Catalan Carla Simón - who, as in the film "Summer 1993", is once again inspired by her childhood. Winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, "Alcarràs" features a group of non-professional actors from the region where the filming took place.
