Júlio, an obsessive collector, becomes suspicious while analysing the Famalicão Museums for endless hours and is arrested trying to steal the Triptych "A Vida". Under interrogation, he guarantees to have unique information about the authenticity of the work. However, during the investigations, it is discovered that the information he possesses is encrypted! Locked in a room in groups of 2 to 5 people, participants have 40 minutes to solve the riddles and find out what the collector is hiding.
The Escape Room "Deliriums of a Collector" is free of charge, with a reservation at https://desafiotriptico.pt, and will be available from 22nd May, marking in Famalicão the celebrations of the International Museum Day, this year organized under the 10th Anniversary of the Famalicão Museum Network.
From 18 to 22 of May, the party will be constant in the 11 museums of Famalicão. With an eclectic programme, inspired by the theme "The power of museums", there will also be the organisation of "There's Night at the Museum", at Bernardino Machado Museum, on May 21st, from 23h00, which includes the presentation of the multimedia show Sounds of Heritage, by the artist St. James Park.
During the celebrations, the school public will be offered handicraft workshops and guided tours at the Castro Alves Foundation, in Bairro, at the Museu de Arte Sacra da Capela da Lapa, in Famalicão, and at the Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, the latter in partnership with the Devesa Park, under the project "Encounters Art and Nature - Frottage".
On May 18, the Cupertino de Miranda Foundation will promote, from 14h30, the training "Curatorship and preventive conservation", certified for teachers, and with mandatory registration until May 13, through the address: museu@fcm.org.pt.
Also, for children and youngsters, but this time open to the community, the National Railway Museum - Lousado Nucleus will host the puppet show "The twists and turns of the world" with sessions on May 18 (10h30 and 14h00) and 22 (15h30).
As for the weekend, the programme invites to the opening of the exhibition "Fragment and Movement of Time", by Adriana Henriques, at the National Railway Museum on Saturday 21st, at 15h00, to the dance show "Dancing with the Machines" at the Textile Industry Museum on Sunday 22, at 15h00, as well as guided tours, which show the different Famalicão Museums from several perspectives.
On May 21, the Ave Basin Textile Industry Museum of Ave Basin, in Calendário, hosts the conference "The role of the Textile Industry Museum in the community and in the territory", with the presence of José Manuel Lopes Cordeiro, scientific director of the museological unit, starting at 15h00. The Colonial War Museum proposes a guided tour under the theme "The role of Women in the Colonial War and in present times" on Sunday, 22nd, at the same time, while the Museu da Confraria de Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lemenhe opens its doors on the same day, from 10am, to talk about "Our Lady of Carmel: symbols and meanings".
