The municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão received for the tenth time, ninth consecutive, the title of "Most Family Responsible Municipality" attributed by the Portuguese Association of Large Families.
In addition to recognising the good practices of support to families promoted in recent years by the municipality, the distinction also highlights, this time, the exceptional social policies adopted by the Famalicão municipality as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
"It is a distinction that makes us very proud and shows that the path we are following and the policies we have started to support families are the right ones. Every day new challenges arise, but we will continue to bet on the Family as the basis of the whole community", says the Mayor, Mário Passos.
The flag with the distinction will be delivered in a ceremony that will take place on November 25 by 16h30, in the FEFAL Foundation Auditorium, in Coimbra, located in Rua do Brasil, 131.
It should be recalled that the Observatory of Family Responsible Municipalities is an initiative of the Portuguese Association of Large Families, in partnership with the Social Security Institute, with the main objectives of monitoring, awarding and disseminating the best practices of Portuguese municipalities in terms of family responsibility.
