Students from D. Sancho I Secondary School win prize in international competition Young Reporters for the Environment

Students from the D. Sancho I High School, in partnership with Secondary Vocational School Spasoje Raspopovic (Montenegro), won the 2nd prize in the international competition of the programme Young Reporters for the Environment (JRA) - Young Reporters for the Environment International Competition -, in the category of «Articles 15-18 years old», variant «International Collaboration».

«How Can Traditional Watering Systems Help The Environment? » is the name of the article with which they won the award. The article focuses on local efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change, with a focus on traditional irrigation systems.

It should be noted that Young Reporters for the Environment (JRA) is an international programme of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), promoted by the European Blue Flag Association (ABAE), the Portuguese section of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which aims to contribute to the training of active and participatory citizenship, emphasizing the aspect of environmental journalism.
