The International Textile and Clothing Conference - iTechStyle Summit, which is taking place since yesterday at the Cruise Terminal of the Port of Leixões, has debated current trends, strategies, opportunities and challenges with a focus on areas such as sustainability and circular economy, digitalisation and Industry 4.0, performance and health and well-being, with academics and entrepreneurs sharing and deepening contributions to the future of textile and clothing.
"From Famalicão, Citeve has promoted a trajectory of evolution in the sector and contributed decisively to counter that idea that the textile sector in Portugal would have its days counted. This conference, which has sustainability as its theme, is a good example of this permanent attention and adaptation of the sector to the global economy", said the Mayor of Famalicão, Mário Passos, during the iTechStyle Awards Gala dinner.
Louropel, a button production company from Vila Nova de Famalicão, was awarded in the category "Accessories", which rewards the quality and innovation of the product of the company based in Louro.
Organized by CITEVE - Centro Tecnológico das Indústrias Têxtil e do Vestuário de Portugal with the support of the City Council of Famalicão – Textile City, the iTechStyle Summit continues until tomorrow, Friday.
