Access to the premises of the Famalicão Health Centre is already operational, by the families of users with reduced mobility and disabled users. The Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, in conjunction with ACES - Cluster of Local Health Centres, provided parking space for infrastructure professionals, in its facilities located in the vicinity of the unit, thus freeing the existing area for the circulation of vehicles, either at the entrance of the Unit of Famalicão I, or at the entrance of the New Station Family Health Unit, Alto da Vila, UCC D. Maria II (Unit of Extended Care) and URAP - Shared Assistance Resource Unit, all operating in the building on Avenida 25 de Abril.
On Friday, January the 7th, the Mayor, Mário Passos, and the director of the ACES Ave / Famalicão, Ivo Sá Machado, made a working visit to the site and were pleased with the way in which the constraints that prevented the access of users with reduced mobility to the entrance of the facilities were overcome.
"What had to be done was done and a problem was solved", said the ACES director, praising the commitment and availability of the local authority in the process. The mayor recalled that this "is an example of a small action of enormous importance for people (...) our daily concern is focused on solving people's problems and that's what we did here”, he said.
